Clothing is one of the few things we interact with almost every hour of every day. Yet while we carefully consider what we eat, the materials closest to our bodies are rarely part of the conversation.
That curiosity was one of the reasons we chose to create this summer collection using cotton and linen.
For generations, cotton and linen have been appreciated for their breathability, comfort, and ability to help regulate temperature in warm weather. They create a comfortable microclimate next to the skin by allowing air to circulate while absorbing moisture, making them natural choices for summer.
At the same time, a growing body of research is encouraging broader conversations around the chemicals and treatments used in some textiles and how they may contribute to our overall exposure. While the science continues to evolve, we believe this is an important area worth paying attention to and learning more about.
"Supporting women’s well-being will remain one of the principles that guides our decisions."
We don’t have all the answers, and we’re not here to make definitive claims. But we do believe curiosity is valuable. Asking questions, following emerging research, and considering every part of our everyday lives—including the fabrics we wear—is where meaningful conversations begin.
As Lajendo continues to evolve, supporting women’s well-being will remain one of the principles that guides our decisions. We’re committed to asking better questions, listening to emerging research, and continuing to learn.
Because perhaps the fabrics we wear deserve a place in the conversation about women’s wellness, too.
